We hear from trades-people all over the world who are put through the mill by clients, courts, suppliers, or regulators. So far, we've had nearly a quarter of a million visits to the site from hands-on work producers checking on potential clients.

We have received notes from our users that thank us for the information. Some are hesitant to post their stories because they don't see that their story will help the others who need solid information, but many are beginning to understand that this website is part of taking care of the business.

This is a site where you can improve your business by changing the way builders, trades people do business. If you had a bad experience with a questionable person, you won't be going back for more, but what about the next person who has to deal with them? Are you going to sit idly by and let a difficult client, or official, or bank, or supplier take advantage of someone who could be your kid, your nephew, your best friend's kid?

Information is valuable, which is why we charge $10.00 to put it up where everybody can see it, where the next in line can prepare for a tough client or situation, and we don't charge for a search. We are fair. The people named in the complaint are automatically notified of the posting if you list their e-mail address, but it's not required if you want to post anonymously. We recommend that you sign the posting because often the subject will work to ameliorate the situation just to get their name taken off the site.

The construction business for the individual contractor and trades-person is getting more competitive. We need to operate smarter. This site is another tool that can help the trades-person to do business in a very difficult field.
